Remote, private, and quiet, Dove Cottage is a stunning St John Vacation retreat ideal for the couple who wants to be awed on their vacation or honeymoon but NOT suitable for more than 2 adults. Thoughtfully and tastefully designed to maximize the views and comfort while ensuring harmony with the environment. 

Around every corner is an incredible view, complete with a welcoming daybed or chaise to curl up with a book or a loved one. “Dove Cottage is truly amazing. We have been to the Caribbean about a dozen times. The views from the cottage are unparalleled. The location is secluded, private, quiet, and away from distraction. We had never stayed at a property with a saltwater pool before and found it to be an unexpected treat - no chlorine smell, warm and comfortable, and the pool deck is unbelievable. The property is located on the East End of St John, which is a hefty drive from Cruz Bay and many of the most popular beaches. Coral Bay is closer, and does not have the same amenities but is convenient for a quick necessities run. This is not a bad thing - the location means you will have quiet seclusion without tourists thronging outside of your hotel. It also provides what we found to be the most amazing view on the island - when you see Tortola from the pool deck, you will have difficulty topping it in future adventures. Truly mind blowing. Jared and the Unique Island Assets team are fantastic. The communication is easy and fluid, they make sure you are well informed, and will quickly address any questions or concerns. They do so without being intrusive - it was well done all around. We also found that our rental car agency and other services on the island were equally friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to Dove Cottage again, and have recommended it to some of our friends. If you have the privilege to stay here, you will not regret it.”

Jared and Keri were wonderful in helping us navigate activities, car rental, groceries, etc. and I was very thankful we had them as a resource. “It’s hard to find words to describe our amazing week at Dove Cottage and Saint John. The house was beautiful, clean, and perfect for our family of four (kids ages 7 and 4). All the bedrooms are on the top floor and we enjoyed the evening breeze with the open floor plan and screened porch/windows (all of which can be closed off if preferred). The pool and property were beautiful. The location offers picturesque views from both the front and back of the house. Coral Bay is about a 15 minute drive with several restaurants and small grocery stores. Cruz Bay is about a 35 minute drive. We loved being on the east end of the island because it’s quiet and the views can’t be beat. Hansen Bay beach is a 5 minute drive and the beaches on the northwest part of the island (there are several and they are amazing) are an easy 25-30 minute drive. We snorkeled at every beach by just swimming a short distance from shore and throughout the week, saw stingray, sea turtles, squid and all kinds of fish. We also saw flamingos at salt pond beach. I would highly recommend Dove Cottage (Estate Hansen Bay) and Saint John for a spectacular beach vacation and amazing house, property, and pool. We definitely plan to be back and stay at this property again!”

Keri and Jared took such wonderful care of us, connecting us with terrific fishing guides, kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling adventures. We intended to build in Costa Rica, but after this experience, we will instead focus on the magical East End of St. John.”

“This house is beautiful. It's on the east side of St John, so quiet, but not hard to get to. It looks down on North Haulover bay, with a full view all the way up the St Francis channel. The decorating is lovely, kitchen fully stocked, master bedroom with expansive views and screens, and extensive patio with great chairs and swimming pool. Just spectacular all the way around. A couple things to note--getting from the main level upstairs to the bedrooms is done with a very tight spiral staircase, fine for my wife and I but could be tough for some. And then the bedrooms are all close together on the upper level, with not much separation, and a shared bathroom. But we would come back in a heartbeat.”

“If your plan is for a great escape, this first class cottage is the place. Can't beat the views along with the comfort. You need to be ready for some road challenges on the East End as they are steep, winding & occasionally rough, but once you're there you really don't want to leave. Drive to Coral Bay about 3 miles, 20 minutes. We dined at Skinny Legs & Salty Mongoose & they were very reflective of the local flavor. Better grocery shopping on Cruz Bay side but Love City Market in Coral Bay is an adequate fill in for those things you run out of. I'm sure you'll enjoy this spot.”
